Die nordeuropäische Games-Industrie findet sich am 28. Mai für die Nordic Game Awards zusammen. Am Abend der Online-Preisverleihung werden Preise in neun Kategorien verliehen.
Die Preisverleihung der Nordic Game Awards findet anlässlich der diesjährigen Nordic Game Conference in Malmö statt. Das Event wird am Abend des 28. Mai 2020 online gestreamt. In insgesamt neun Kategorien sind je fünf Titel und ihre Studios nominiert. Zum ersten Mal wird auch ein Preis für das beste VR/XR-Spiel verliehen.
Im April findet der Deutsche Computerspielpreis 2020 statt: Das sind die Nominierten.
Insgesamt 27 Titel dürfen sich Hoffnung auf einen Preis machen. Zehn nominierte Titel kommen aus Schweden, acht aus Dänemark und jeweils vier aus Finnland und Norwegen. Studio Aldin Dynamics stellt das einzige Spiel aus Island.
Für die Königsdisziplin, dem Nordic Game of the Year, sind Baba is You, Control, LEGO Builder´s Journey, Mosaic und Sayonara Wildhearts nominiert. Mit jeweils fünf Nominierungen haben Control und Sayonara Wildhearts die höchsten Chancen am Abend zu gewinnen.
